Thomas O'Neill - Chairman of the Board

Mr. O'Neill was a founding principal of Sandler + O'Neill, LP., a firm that provides investment banking, advisory, balance sheet management, brokerage and research services to financial institutions and their investors. He recently left Sandler O'Neill to join with Ranieri Partners, a large Private Equity and Fund Management Company based in New York. He serves on the Board of the Audit and Finance Committees for both the NASDAQ and the Archer Daniels Midland Company. Mr. O'Neill is also on the Board of Misonix, Inc., a publicly traded medical company.

John-Peter Bradford

Mr. Bradford is a founding Partner and CEO of Bradford Bachinski Limited (BBL) based in Ottawa, Canada. He brings over 40 years of experience helping companies raise money, build businesses, restructure, relate to the public markets and regulators, negotiate complex commercial arrangements, and merge or sell. His focus has been early stage and restructuring situations, having served as a CEO, "organizational doctor", strategic advisor or board member. He has been a partner in three boutique merchant banks. He was a key advisor to a significant partner in the development of the Working Ventures Fund, a large capital pool in Canada; he was the founding CEO and Chair of MetroPhotonics Inc., a significant telecommunications component maker in the early 2000s; and, he has assisted in challenging restructurings He has served as board member and advisor to CryptoMetrics, CryptoMetrics Canada and NextgenID throughout their rebuilding process. Mr. Bradford's governance experience includes membership on a number of boards, chairing a NASDAQ and Toronto Stock Exchange listed company, as well as serving on governance, human resources, audit and finance committees.

Danny W. Mills - CEO

Mr. Mills has been engaged in the private equity and venture investing business since 1989. Prior to becoming a full time venture investor he ran the natural resource M&A practice for Hakman & Company, a small boutique investment bank in Burlingame, California. During his tenure he was personally responsible for over $1 billion in transaction volume for the firm. From 1991 to 2000 Mr. Mills ran SATEX Investment Partners, a technology incubator that focused on early stage technology companies, assisting them in strategic and corporate development activities. He served as CEO of most of these companies during the initial stages and oversaw the exit of several of the companies through acquisition and public offerings. Since 1999, he focused his efforts in the security industry, and has acted as the CEO of both public and private security companies. He has actively assisted in restructuring these companies through strategic development, asset sales, acquisitions & mergers, capital financings, and other liquidity events. Today Mr. Mills is President of the investment holding company (NextgenID, LLC) as well as being President and CEO of NextgenID, Inc., the wholly owned operating subsidiary. Mr. Mills also serves on the board of NextgenID and its subsidiary, NextgenID-Canada. Mr. Mills also serves as a Director of a private company from his prior portfolio, Skydex Technologies, Inc., located in Denver, Colorado.

Danny W. Mills - CEO

Dario Berini - COO

Serving as Chief Operating Officer of NextgenID, Mr. Berini is focused on operating strategies, corporate focus and management to support the company’s engineering, product development and sales missions. With more than 25 years of experience in the biometric market and real-time mission critical systems, Mr. Berini has managed, developed and delivered adjunctive and standalone products to large complex systems. Mr. Berini’s industry experience includes energy, telecommunications, high technology, Federal and International Government, defense, finance, and healthcare with Sperry Corporation, Unisys and Lockheed Martin Corporation, all global technology leaders in system integration. His experience within the security marketplace includes smartcards, credentialing, logical and physical access, biometrics, encryption and key management. Mr. Berini has held leadership rolls on numerous successful projects and has held leadership rolls on special/strategic assignments. Mr. Berini’s specialized experience includes program restructuring and Tiger Team management to save large complex projects in risk of failure and overruns. His experience includes US Navy Trident II Program, NOAA NEXRAD Weather Radar Program, FBI CJIS and numerous State programs such as the Commonwealth of Connecticut and State of New Jersey Biometric Welfare Systems.

Michael Friedman - EVP and General Counsel

Michael S. Friedman joined NextgenID in 2014 as its General Counsel. Mike has over 30 years’ experience in senior management including both public and private companies. Beginning with his service in the United States Air Force General Counsel’s Office, where he was counsel to the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Mike has provided advice and counsel to some of the country’s most significant companies concerning risk mitigation and compliance. Mike was the Chief Operating Officer of a company advising the UN and the US Security Coordinator on issues related to border crossings from the West Bank and Gaza to Israel. Mike served as the Vice President and General Counsel of Abraxas Corporation which supports the US intelligence community. He also served as the Special Assistant to the Director of the Office of Safety Act Implementation within the Science and Technology Directorate of the Department of Homeland Security, where he was responsible for the development of the risk mitigation program for companies with emerging anti-terrorism technologies. Mike holds TS/ISSA security clearances.

John Jacob - Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing

As NextgenID’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, John leads the sales and marketing efforts and builds and maintains partnerships with all Distributors, Value Added Resellers (VARs), end users, and technology partners. John brings 25 years of sales, marketing, and business development expertise from various security, solutions integration and manufacturing companies. Prior to NextGenID, John lead HID Global’s North American Channel sales organization for both Federal and commercial divisions. He completely re-engineered the existing go-to-market strategy, team, program and partners. He was successful in developing and closing all new major Federal and commercial contracts and partnerships and implemented a plan that successfully increased all GSA software revenue across more than 90 Federal agencies. As Vice President of Global Channel Sales for Symantec/Verisign, John managed partner sales and operations in more than 60 countries and the Federal Government to create a channel portfolio and go-to-market strategy of a consolidation of more than 20 acquisitions, 130 products and services and a global staff. He made immediate impacts on revenue and developed and created lasting and strategic global alliances with Major Telecom and System Integration partners in EMEA, APAC and LatAm. For the previous 15 years, as a sales executive, John has been involved in sales and business development for both start up, large commercial and Federal businesses including MCI/Verizon, EDS/HP/DXC (13 years), SAVVIS, and XO Communications. John earned his BS in Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College and an MS in Technology Management from the University of Maryland University College.

Tom Lockwood - Business Development

Tom Lockwood specializes in solutions to strategic policy, risk challenges, complex integration issues and technology management. He is a “Trusted Advisor” to senior level officials within federal and state governments, providing guidance in areas such as crisis management, policy and program development, best practices, and strategic execution. He has unique expertise for successful program development, coordination, and execution. Tom is a former-member of Department of Homeland Security's senior leadership team and served three of its Secretaries in key leadership roles. He led DHS and federal interagency efforts on enhanced decision-making; interoperable electronic media, verification and authentication; screening, redress and waiver; cyber security and identity integrity; privacy protection; and enterprise architecture and data models. Tom directly influenced the creation of national policy and architecture for high assurance identity. He supported the White House Cyber Security Coordinator in efforts to secure online transactions as lead coordinator and core team member for development of the U.S. National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace (NSTIC) signed by the President in 2011. Tom served as the DHS Director for the National Capital Region, the Homeland Security Advisor and Deputy Director of Homeland Security for the State of Maryland and the Executive Deputy Commissioner for Homeland Security & Emergencies for the State of New York. Tom has experience both in the public and private sectors - including the transportation, chemical, pharmaceutical, and food sectors; he was a Brookings Institution Fellow; a graduate of the Harvard Business School and Chairman of his class, past-President of the Navy's Association of Scientists and Engineers; and experienced executive board-member on several public and private organizations. Tom served as leader and team-member of design-build teams including safety and reliability systems, systems integration, and net-centric systems.

Keith Sheridan - CTO

Mr. Sheridan has over 20 years of commercial software development experience and currently serves as Chief Technology Officer for NextgenID. In this role, Mr. Sheridan is a direct contributor to technical projects, which includes refining the conceptual architecture for a smart card maintenance system to a end-user logical and physical architecture, .Net development, and leading the technical effort to develop and document the policies and procedures for a PIV-I issuance system. Throughout his successful career, Keith has served as the development manager for multiple teams implementing and supporting production systems. In these roles, he lead efforts to bring process improvements to the teams, mentored junior developers and was a senior technical lead on most projects. In addition to traditional development experience, he has significant production support experience. Previously, at the Eastman Kodak subsidiary PictureVision, he represented the product development team in developing the move plans for a 24 X 7 production system, which included the America On-Line (AOL) You've Got Pictures program. Prior to this, while at American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) he had responsibility for production support of the public website and product catalog. As Director of Technology at Altum, Mr. Sheridan was responsible for company strategic planning, program reviews and technical proposal development.

Brian Shimek - VP Software Development

As NextgenID’s VP of Software Development, Brian brings over 20 years of software engineering and product development experience to his role at NextgenID. Brian leads the software engineering team in developing innovative biometric and identity solutions. Brian began his career in the aerospace industry where he worked on a team creating computer based training systems targeted for air-frame mechanics. Brian went on to join a San Antonio based startup 24/7 customer call center where he served as Director of Information Systems. Brian was responsible for the development and implementation of several workforce automation and automated call distribution systems. Brian was the primary system architect of a large-scale Computer Telephony integration which resulted in significant productivity and sales increases. Joining NextgenID in 2002 he was the architect of the company’s biometric physical access control solutions featuring multi-modal face, iris and, fingerprint recognition. Brian has extensive knowledge in developing biometric based systems, identity based verification products and a deep understanding of the overall biometric industry. Along with NextgenID's identity system initiatives, he guided the development of anonymous biometric analytic systems for NextgenID’s gaming industry partners. Brian earned his BS in Computer Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

David Kuykendall - VP Hardware Solutions

Mr. Kuykendall has been in software and embedded hardware development for 23 years. He has developed OEM Building Access Control System software and Hardware for Wells Fargo, Diebold and ADT. He has designed and completed cryptographic communication software systems providing Tactical Remote Image Transmission for the United States Government, the Distributed Intrusion Detection System (DIDS) for the Air Force Information Warfare Center (AFIWC), digital medical image acquisition, storage and display systems for Image Data and E-Systems Medical. Mr. Kuykendall developed Encrypted Network Protocols and Remote Command Language Interfaces for Wheel Group; a computer network security company with the first commercial Intrusion Detection System (IDS) router later purchased by Cisco Systems. He has built out a country wide wireless mesh network as a community project. As the Chief Technology Officer at Exavera, he delivered an Asset Location system for a major hospital chain. His most recent task was as Project and Technical Lead on the development of an intelligence system comprised of command and control application software, communications intelligence gathering spyware and target infiltration for an International customer.
