Position is Full-time. Scheduled weekly hours 40-50 hours
Travel required 10-20%

Job Brief

  • The Project Manager will be responsible for planning and overseeing projects and related tasks to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget
  • The Project Manager will plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way
  • The Project Manager will utilize expertise in organization, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills to ensure the success of a project life cycle
  • The Project Manager will be responsible for communicating and representing the client’s needs while supporting the role of each team member contributing to the project
  • Full responsibility and accountability for the project’s success

Job Roles & Responsibilities

  • Enforces personnel responsibilities and protects the team from internal politics
  • Leads the development and agreement for the Project Charter
  • Communicates project status up and out to the client/stakeholders
  • Identifies and builds relationships with key stakeholders
  • Defines time, processes, metrics, collaboration for success
  • Develops detailed Project Management Plans and leads the project planning activities
  • Is responsible for developing a realistic schedule and budget
  • Maintain clear requirements through documentation and actionable scope of work for cross-functional project teams
  • Informs management on project status and requirements
  • Controls all aspects of the project (scope, time, costs, risks, quality, etc.)
  • Logs and applies lessons learned and performs project closure
  • Implements effective problem-solving, analytic, and interpersonal interactions among team members
  • Inspires motivation, accountability, and adaptability while being detail-oriented
  • Prioritizes customer service and requirement orientation
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks with competing timelines and deliverables

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a project manager is preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, computer science, or related fields strongly preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or related project management certification strongly desired
  • Familiarity with Government’s procedures and requirements for HSPD-12, knowledgeable about Identity Credential and Access Management (ICAM), PIV integration, Biometrics and Credential Management System (CMS) is a plus
  • Knowledge and handling of Program Management Methodology
  • Hardware and Software build project experience is a plus
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products Suite
  • Agile/Scrum experience in project teams, strong leadership, and management skills
  • Ability to work positively across a wide range of dispersed individuals
  • Proven success in managing projects with multiple key priorities and tight timelines
  • Responsible for identifying and raising risks and issues

Additional Requirements
